March 1, 2023 – Akeneo, the Product Experience Company, and ContentWise are thrilled to announce their technical partnership agreement to combine Akeneo’s ability to simplify product information management with Catalog Builder, ContentWise’s solution for AI-powered fashion catalog management.
By combining Akeneo PIM and ContentWise Catalog Builder, fashion brands and retailers can automate key, but time-consuming, steps in the catalog editing and management process, and improve the customers’ journey on their e-commerce platforms.
Available now, you can find two native ContentWise integrations among the many available on the Akeneo Marketplace: the ContentWise Catalog Builder Connector and the ContentWise Catalog Builder App.
With both integrations, the two solutions can exchange data easily. More specifically, Catalog Builder reads data from the Akeneo database (either via imports or synchronization), enriches it, and then re-exports it to Akeneo PIM and/or other systems, such as e-commerce platforms.
The key difference between the two integrations is that, while the connector allows for more customization of the integration, it requires the support of the ContentWise professional services team with credentials and permissions’ management. Conversely, the app is more deeply integrated with the PIM, allowing you to configure everything from the Akeneo UI (User Interface).
