For over five years, ContentWise has provided Mediaset with personalization, UX automation, personalized recommendations, analytics and editorial tooling software. Today, Mediaset and ContentWise announced the extension of the ContentWise integration to the entire Mediaset’s VOD service portfolio on all platforms operating in Italy. Thanks to the strong working relationship between ContentWise and the Mediaset team, several ad-hoc use cases have been implemented to deliver the best experience to end-users.

Launched last year, Mediaset Play is the group’s strategic ad-supported VOD destination that allows users to access all of Mediaset’s programming, on computer or mobile device. ContentWise will integrate with Play’s data platform and provide revamped content discovery and personalization user experience to users.
ContentWise surfaces relevant items across a catalog of thousands of clips related to Mediaset’s TV programming. The integration increases engagement and retention and viewability metrics, aligning content programming execution with the platform’s ad-supported business model.
Mediaset’s Infinity TV, the first on-demand streaming service launched in Italy in 2013, offers a subscription-based broad entertainment catalog of movies, cartoons, series, documentaries and TV programming. ContentWise helps Infinity drive retention metrics and transactional up-sell of premium content. Infinity uses content discovery and Dynamic Stream experience optimization technology that automates content feeds through a mix of editorial interventions and algorithmic personalization.

The offering allows live streaming of TV channels, including the possibility to watch live programmes from the start (the Live Restart function), and catch-up on demand for most free-to-air television programming.
